Fantastic! beautiful book about as many forms of humanity as one is able to think of. Please also see the videos on YouTube --"free" there. Some of the best videos I've ever seen... Incredibly moving and touching... As were these pictures, and the stories contained in the book. This is why we live! This is what we Iive for! --This is what we strive for! --This is also who we are. What it means to be human! What it can mean to be human!
BUYER CAUTION. This edition is in GERMAN. The Amazon link to other buyers from the ENGLISH VERSION connected us DIRECTLY to this seller. The writing on the picture is small and the wrong assumption was made that it would be in ENGLISH. Not until returning did we see in the fine print below that the language is German. A beautiful book in any language. But you will definitely want to be able to read it and enjoy the powerful stories and graphics that the author includes. We have gifted this to teachers, travelers, graduates etc. and this was to be our own copy for our coffee table.
The video is a cinematographic delight (not included) and this soundtrack is a wonderful ecelctic mix of beauty and haunting tracks creating emotions of humanity where one is engulfed with the journey of the world without freedom and abundance in its various forms...The vendor was terrific in their delivery of the item!
Gorgeous photos and well-thought-out chapters. This book brings together current research, interviews and thoughtful insights about a variety of very "human" issues - war, women's rights, justice, etc... A way to dive deeper after being inspired by the editor's excellent films by the same name.
Not sure if I am reviewing the book or the movie. Of the two, I would get the movie, thiugh the book is great, the movie moves faster.
As expected
This is a truly inspiring series. The cinematography is stunning and the message uplifting.
The film was so riveting to me, I had to have the soundtrack as well. The photography b-roll work here is amazing...especially the dune work.
