But the way the book is set up, it is neither suitable for people with no programming experience at all, or for those of us who have coded for a while. The last couple of sections, structures and classes, are suddenly much harder for a beginner to understand. I've been programming in various languages for decades and I was all but lost with the turn of a page.Most disappointingly, this book does not even mention two rather significant topics that I bought the book for: error handling (try/catch) and optional/unwrapped variables. The plus side is that this is about the least expensive Swift book on the market. The downside is that I got virtually no value from it.Three stars for what it provides to those who need this kind of introduction, take away stars for being over our heads in the last sections and completely overlooking basic concepts I bump into with about every new line of code I try to write.
