As many other people have said, these books are small (I put a butter knife in my picture so you could get a reference for size). They are pretty short stories (6 pages with words) and the parent guide is just a folded piece of paper. However, I like how the stories are split between vowel sounds and are a good step in learning phonics. I'm glad I was able to grab these on sale as I wouldn't pay full price for them. The case will work well to take these in the go when travelling.

My son is 3 and loves Blaze. For his Blaze themed birthday, I purchased these to help him start reading. I think some of the text is still a little beyond basic reading and phonics. I also have a kindergartner (Autistic) who is just starting to read and the books he comes home with for phonics are much more simple and along the lines of "I saw the dog. I saw the playground", etc. Either way, my son loves the books and loves that he can start reading with his favorite character.

We usually have one of these books included in the rotation every night because they're super short, and they're Blaze. We tried to do a little bit of reading with them but that hasn't worked as well just yet. What seems to throw my daughter off is that the books take creative license on the episodes, which she also watches and learns a lot from. Simple example: in the Bouncy Tires book, it says that Blaze dumps a big puddle of glue on the street. He's a cement truck at the time. She reads the little golden book, and watches the episode, both of which show and talk about Cement. It's a weird little thing, and it throws her off when trying to focus on learning the words. It's similar in the other books. So, we like it enough, but we don't love it.

The reason these are great even though they are small and thin as people mention:- Maintains the child interest throughout the whole story, my older child likes to read them all in a row- Ask your child to spell certain words as you read them and he can find them in the text and spell them for you, great for letter and word identification- Invites reading at any time because they are so short, between meals, when you are waiting for something, just keep one in your bag or purse- Bright and colorful pictures bring the story alive- Both of my sons highly enjoy the stories

Great set of books to help with reading. M son enjoys the pictures and loves to read them everyday. Before getting these books he struggled some, but now he's just zooming through it.

I bought this set as a gift and the little boy loved them. He is only two so his parents will have to read them to him but he is all about Blaze at the moment. I like buying toys that will help children grow and learn so I am all about books and reading and educational toys.

My child absolutely loves reading all 12 books over and over again. It's great that there are instructions on how to teach your child phonics instead of just reading the books plainly. Only issue is the binding seems really weak and I think my son will end up tearing them apart soon.

.They are a lot smaller then I expected but my son loves blaze so they are alright
