Review

“Janet Sitchin’s collection The Anunnaki Chronicles is a worthy successor to her uncle Zecharia Sitchin’s life’s work. It expands and enhances our understanding of who the Anunnaki were, why they came here, and why they may someday return.” (Mike Bara, author of Ancient Aliens and Secret Societies)“It is almost impossible to quantify the effect that Zecharia Sitchin had on our understanding of the origins of our species and the mysterious activity of the Anunnaki on planet Earth. His work inspired millions; his research shattered our rigid belief system and caused our history to be rewritten by many that followed him. Zecharia remains one of my key inspirations and a valuable source of critical information in the area of ancient human history and the enslavement of the human race.” (Michael Tellinger, author of Slave Species of the Gods: The Secret History of the Anunnaki and Their)“A breathtaking chronicle of Sitchin’s works, and the newly published material validates his theories concerning Planet X.” (Xaviant Haze, author of Aliens in Ancient Egypt)“Well researched and persuasive . . . Sitchin brings to [The 12th Planet] the logic and scholarship so often lacking. . . . He demonstrates the flaws in established theories and exposes a few ancient hoaxes.” (Library Journal)“In Mr. Sitchin’s [work], evolution and creationism collide.” (New York Times)“A dazzling performance. . . . Sitchin is a zealous investigator into man’s origins . . .” (Kirkus Reviews)"An excellent selection of texts highlighting the key breakthroughs of Zecharia Sitchin about the Sumerians’ feats in bioengineering, microchips, and astronomy, and how these are corroborated by new scientific discoveries. A must read for any one interested in the high-tech civilization that preceded our own by a few millennia at least." (Chris H. Hardy, PhD., systems scientist, author of DNA of the God and The Sacred Network)"Providing an insider’s look into the decades of research behind Sitchin’s complete works as well as an in-depth overview of his theories, this collection includes carefully selected chapters from the Earth Chronicles series as well as never-before-published letters, articles, and lectures." (Watkins’ Mind Body Spirit, Issue 44, December 2015)

The first books of the "Earth Chronicles" series by Zecharia Sitchin were slow to develope and required reading pages and pages of historical research data and ancient documents before any analysis was given that made sense to the lay community. This book zips past the research and gets right to the results of the research and quickly informs the reader as to the meaning of what the documents were saying, according to ZS. If true, it is a complete rewrite of ancient history and man's origins as we have been taught. Easy to read and understand, gets right to the point, and written in a narrative form that makes clear the message of the original books of Mr. Sitchin. It is a fitting tribute to the man who first saw the message the ancient Summerians were telling us, that is being ignored by mainstream archeology.

I thought this was a good book but I think the assumptions are that you have read a few of Zech's books already. Especially the 12th Planet. Don't buy this as a first book or buy it with "The 12th Planet" and read that one first (at minimum). The overview was great, She adds a little more insight to details Zech never share in his books because the facts weren't solid enough to fight against an educated nay-say'er. A point which she also makes a several times throughout this book. From her perspective you can take a group of facts that work together and make some obvious assumptions, of which she gives several compelling examples. Zech wouldn't share any information that entertain speculation or assumption regardless of how obvious it may appear. He only shared facts that could be backed up by solid research, in which no one could really dispute unless they ignored his research and speculated themselves. She is a little bit sporadic the way she pulls pieces of information from other books together and although I was keeping up with her (only because I read the other books she was referencing) I think people would be lost because the lack of context which is given in the other books doesn't exist in this one. I want to say this book is like the CliffNotes of Zech's collection with extra info he only shared with close friends and family along with the writers thoughts.

I’ve always found it interesting that the Hebrew Bible refers to “Yahweh” in Genesis in the plural: “Let us make Adam in our likeness and in our image,” etc.Another interest I’ve had that’s been whetted in Zecharia Sitchin’s “The Anunnaki Chronicles” is the existence of advanced civilizations beyond what we’re told in our written records. Sitchin grew up in Palestine and died in 2010 at age 90. He was fluent in many languages, especially the Sumerian/Babylonian/Akkadian languages that make up the thousands of cuneiform tablets that 19th century archeologists unearthed and dragged back to European museums. He read the material for the Old Testament in its original Hebrew (not the translated English with its many mistakes) along with the source material on the cuneiform tablets and has produced a number of books, apparently all of which are grounded in academic fact with few disputing his scholarship. The main part of this book, “The Anunnaki Chronicles”, involves Planet Nibiru which has a 3600 year, round trip, elliptical path way out and back toward our blue-green planet. He quotes Sumerian texts that it was the collision between Nibiru and the watery prototype of Earth billions of years ago at the creation sequence of our planet from one (Tiamat) twice Earth’s current size. So, Nibiru’s return trip of 1800 years began long ago (?) and Sitchin along with others believe this planet that ‘birthed’ us is heading back to our neighborhood. Party hard hats are currently on back order.

This is a beautiful book, written by Zecharia Sitchin's niece Janet after his death as both a tribute and a release of some of his never-published material. I have most of her uncle's thought-provoking books and am thrilled to also have this book in my library.I have lived in several Middle Eastern countries and have visited many of the places mentioned in this and his other books. Sitchin makes these ancient places come alive, while answering many salient questions about the beginning of mankind, leading the way to how man has 'progressed' (or digressed!) up to now.I look forward to seeing more books written by Janet Sitchin, to continue to not only write about her uncle's main topic threads but to also research and create some new, related ones of her own.

It is really hard to believe that the Ancient Sumerians wrote all this fictional mumbo jumbo. The Author mixes up Biblical nonsense, invented Ancient Alien Astronaut theories and some laughable archaeological "evidence" to fill in the pages with "historical" Tales. IT will require more faith to believe this BS than the faith you actually need to believe that God impregnated his own mother so he could be born to save us from his own condemnation. In summary, this book will get you nowhere, but If you like to entertain yourself with fiction, this is for you.
